These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of textnex.com and the text tools available on it (together, the “Service”). Please read them carefully together with our Privacy Policy.

Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using TextNEX, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms on its behalf.

The service

TextNEX provides free online utilities for working with text, such as word and character counters, case converters, cleaners, sorters, extractors and formatters. The tools run in your web browser and do not require an account. You may use them for personal, educational and commercial purposes, free of charge, subject to these terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload or impair the website or its servers, including through automated requests, scraping at a rate that degrades the Service, or denial-of-service attacks;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or the systems that host it;
  • copy, frame, mirror or republish the website or substantial parts of it, or present it as your own service, without our written permission;
  • interfere with advertisements shown on the Service, including generating artificial clicks or impressions; or
  • use the Service to create, process or distribute content that infringes the rights of others.

Your content

You keep all rights to the text you enter into the tools and to the results they produce. Because processing happens in your browser, we do not receive, store or claim any license to your content. You are solely responsible for the content you process and for making sure you have the right to use it.

Intellectual property

The TextNEX name, logo, website design, text, graphics and source code are owned by TextNEX or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. These terms do not grant you any right to use our name or branding. Third-party names and trademarks mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

Advertising and third-party links

The Service may display advertisements provided by third parties such as Google AdSense, and may contain links to other websites. Advertisers and linked sites are responsible for their own content, products and privacy practices. Your dealings with them are solely between you and them, and we are not responsible for any loss arising from them. See the Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies work and how to opt out.

Accuracy of results

We test every tool carefully, but results such as word counts, reading times, keyword density or number formatting can differ from other software, especially for unusual characters, languages or formatting. The tools are general-purpose utilities and do not provide legal, financial, academic or other professional advice. Always review the output before relying on it for important work, such as submissions with strict length limits or published content.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TextNEX and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to zero, or the minimum amount permitted by applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TextNEX and its operators from any claims, damages or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the Service.

Changes to the service and terms

We may add, change or remove tools and features, or suspend the Service, at any time without notice. We may also revise these Terms of Use. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version, and continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the revised terms.

General

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and TextNEX regarding the Service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
