Features

  • Smart Title Case

Short words such as a, of and the stay lowercase unless they start or end the title or follow a colon.

  • Keeps acronyms and brands

In mixed-case text, words like NASA, HTML and iPhone keep their casing in Title and Capitalized Case.

  • Sentence case that reads naturally

Capitalizes each sentence, keeps “I” capitalized, and ignores dots in web addresses, decimals and e.g.

  • Programming styles

camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE and dot.case, with smart splitting of existing identifiers.

  • Line by line

Each line is converted on its own, so lists of names or variables stay one per line.

  • Unicode aware

Accented and non-Latin letters are converted correctly, including special cases like ß becoming SS.

Which case should I use?

Each style has a typical use:

  • Sentence case: body text, UI labels, and headings in many modern style guides.
  • Title Case: titles of articles, books, songs and presentations.
  • UPPER CASE: short labels, acronyms and emphasis. Avoid it for long passages, which are harder to read.
  • camelCase and PascalCase: variables, functions and class names in JavaScript, Java, C# and similar languages.
  • snake_case and CONSTANT_CASE: Python variables, database columns and constants.
  • kebab-case: URLs, file names and CSS class names.

Frequently asked questions

How do I fix text typed with Caps Lock on?

Paste it in and choose Sentence case. Everything is lowercased and each sentence starts with a capital letter. Use iNVERSE cASE instead if you only need to swap the case of every letter.

What is the difference between Title Case and Capitalized Case?

Capitalized Case capitalizes every word. Title Case follows common style guides and keeps minor words such as articles, short prepositions and conjunctions lowercase, unless they are the first or last word.

Will it change acronyms like NASA or brand names like iPhone?

In Title Case and Capitalized Case they are kept as typed when your text contains lowercase letters. If the whole text is in capitals, every word is re-cased because there is no way to tell acronyms apart.

How does camelCase handle punctuation and numbers?

Punctuation and spaces separate words and are removed, apostrophes are dropped, and numbers are kept. Existing identifiers are split too, so getUserID becomes get_user_id in snake_case.

Are line breaks preserved?

Yes. Every style keeps your line breaks and converts each line separately, which makes it easy to convert a list of headings or variable names at once.

Is my text uploaded?

No. The conversion runs in your browser, so your text never leaves your device.
