Removed numbers

No numbers removed yet.

Delete numbers from any text in one step. Remove every single digit, or remove whole numbers together with their sign and separators, so prices like -1,234.56, times like 10:30 and dates like 2026-11-03 disappear completely instead of leaving stray commas and dashes behind.

Keep numbers that are part of a word, such as H2O, mp3 or COVID-19, replace each number with a placeholder like # or [number], and let the tool fix the extra spaces and empty lines left over. Everything runs in your browser.

  • Hiding phone numbers, order numbers and amounts before sharing text.
  • Turning numbered or timestamped transcripts into plain readable text.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between “Every digit” and “Whole numbers”?

Every digit removes the characters 0–9 only, so 1,234.56 leaves “,.” behind. Whole numbers removes the complete number with its sign, decimal point, thousands separators and joiners, so -1,234.56, 10:30 and 2026-11-03 disappear entirely.

Can I keep numbers that are part of words?

Yes. Turn on “Keep numbers inside words” and numbers touching letters, such as H2O, mp3, 3rd, B2B, COVID-19 or 5-year, are kept. Standalone numbers are still removed.

Can I replace numbers instead of deleting them?

Yes. Type the replacement, for example # or [number], and every removed number is replaced with it.

What happens to lines that only contain numbers?

With “Delete lines left empty” on, lines that become empty after removing numbers are deleted. Blank lines that were already in your text are kept.

Does it remove numbers written in other scripts?

Yes. Full-width digits (123) and other decimal digit systems such as Arabic-Indic (٣٤) are removed too. Turn on “Include numeric symbols” to also remove ², ½, Ⅻ and ①.

Are numbers written as words removed?

No. Only numerals are removed. Words like “three” or “first” stay in the text.

Is my text uploaded?

No. Numbers are removed in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
