When to remove all whitespace
Removing every space and line break is useful whenever text must be one unbroken string:
- Cleaning IBANs, card numbers, phone numbers or product codes copied with spaces.
- Joining Base64, hex or hash values that were wrapped over several lines.

Frequently asked questions
What counts as whitespace?
Spaces of every kind (including no-break and thin spaces), tabs, and line breaks, including Windows CRLF and Unicode line separators. With “Invisible characters” on, zero-width spaces, word joiners, byte order marks and soft hyphens are removed too.
How is this different from Remove Extra Spaces?
Remove Extra Spaces tidies text for reading: it collapses doubled spaces and trims lines but keeps single spaces between words. This tool removes all whitespace, so words are joined together.
Can I replace spaces with dashes or commas?
Yes. Choose “Custom text” and type the replacement. Each run of whitespace becomes one copy of it, and no copy is added at the very start or end.
Can I remove only line breaks?

Will emoji be damaged?
No. The zero-width joiners that combine emoji are recognised and kept; only stray joiners between ordinary characters are removed.
