Pull every number out of any text in one step. Paste an invoice, a report, a chat log or a messy table and get a clean list of the numbers in it, including decimals like 3.14, negative values, thousands separators such as 1,234,567 and scientific notation.
The total, average, smallest and largest value are calculated for you. Choose US (1,234.56) or European (1.234,56) number format, sort the numbers, remove duplicates, and copy them one per line or comma-separated for a spreadsheet. Everything runs in your browser.

Features
Every kind of number
Whole numbers, decimals, negatives, thousands separators and scientific notation like 1.5e3.
US and European formats
Read 1,234.56 or 1.234,56 correctly, so values and totals are right.
Instant statistics
Count, sum, average, smallest and largest value of all extracted numbers.
Smart minus signs
-12 is negative, but hyphens in dates (2026-11-03), ranges (5-10) and names (COVID-19) are not.
Sort and de-duplicate
Order numbers from smallest to largest or the reverse, and keep each value once.
Spreadsheet-ready
Write numbers as found or as plain values without separators, one per line or comma-separated.
Extract Numbers vs Remove Numbers
This tool keeps the numbers and discards the words. Our Remove Numbers tool does the opposite: it deletes the numbers and keeps the text. Use Sort Numbers when you already have a list of numbers and want to order or total it.
Frequently asked questions
Which numbers are extracted?
Integers, decimals, negative numbers, numbers with thousands separators and scientific notation. Each part of a date or phone number is extracted as its own number, for example 2026, 11 and 03.
How do I extract numbers written as 1.234,56?
Choose the 1.234,56 format. Periods are then read as thousands separators and commas as decimal points, so the sum and average are correct.
Why are numbers in dates not negative?
A hyphen only counts as a minus sign when it does not directly follow a letter or digit. In 2026-11-03 or 5-10 the hyphen joins numbers, so all of them stay positive.
Can I ignore numbers that are part of words?
Yes. Turn on “Skip numbers inside words” to ignore H2O, mp3, A4 and similar, while standalone numbers are still extracted.
How do I paste the numbers into Excel or Google Sheets?
Keep New line as the separator to paste one number per row, and choose “Plain (1234.5)” so spreadsheets read every value as a number.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Numbers are extracted and summed in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
