Text copied from a PDF, an email or a terminal often arrives with a line break at the end of every line, which makes it awkward to paste into a document, form or chat. Paste it here and the broken lines are joined back into clean, flowing text.
By default the tool keeps your paragraphs and only removes the breaks inside them. It can also join everything into a single line, use a custom separator to turn lines into a comma-separated list, and rejoin words that were split with a hyphen at the end of a line. Everything runs in your browser.

When to use each option
A few common cases:
- Text from a PDF or a scanned document: Keep paragraphs, replace with Space, and fix hyphenated words.
- A list of items, one per line, that you need as “a, b, c”: Remove all with a custom separator of “, ”.
- A long URL, code or ID broken across lines: Remove all and replace with Nothing.
- An email quoted with hard line wraps: Keep paragraphs with Clean up extra spaces turned on.
Frequently asked questions
How do I remove line breaks but keep paragraphs?
Use the default Keep paragraphs mode. Line breaks inside a paragraph are replaced with a space, while the empty lines that separate paragraphs are kept.
Why does text copied from a PDF have line breaks everywhere?
PDFs store text as positioned lines rather than flowing paragraphs, so copying adds a break at the end of every visual line. This tool joins those lines back together.
Will it join words that were split with a hyphen?
Yes, when “Fix words split by hyphens” is on and the next line starts with a lowercase letter. Hyphens before a capital letter, such as “Mid-Atlantic”, are left alone.
Can I turn a list into comma-separated values?
Yes. Choose Remove all, set Replace line breaks with to Custom, and type “, ” as the custom text. Empty lines are skipped automatically.
Does it work with Windows line endings?
Yes. Windows (CRLF), classic Mac (CR) and Unix (LF) line breaks, plus Unicode line and paragraph separators, are all recognized.
Is my text uploaded?
No. The text is processed in your browser and is never sent to a server.
